Remembrance Sunday at St George’s

Truro Cathedral autumn

At St George’s, Remembrance Sunday is an important date in our winter calendar. This year, our residents and staff attended the Royal British Legion’s Service of Remembrance at Truro Cathedral to pay our respects…

Truro Cathedral is one of the most beautiful examples of Gothic Revival Architecture in the country, and is situated just a short walk from St George’s Residential Care Home. The foundation stones were laid in 1880 by the Duke of Cornwall (later King Edward VII) and construction took thirty years. As well as Services of Remembrance, the cathedral hosts a whole calendar of services and events throughout the year, many of which we are fortunate to attend.
