St George’s Hotel is a 22-bed residential care home based in the Cathedral City of Truro, Cornwall. Set in established and well-stocked gardens, the building dates back to the mid-19th century and was originally the rectory for The Parish Church of St George The Martyr next door.
A short and level walk to the city centre, St George’s Hotel is close to Truro mainline train station and other transport links. Residents also enjoy easy access to the ‘hidden gem’ Victoria Gardens. Originally created to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, this lovely green space is filled with exotic trees, shrubs and flowers.
Hotel hospitality
At one time in its interesting history, the building operated as a hotel and we’re often asked why we haven’t changed the name. The simple answer is that we treat our residents as valued, long-standing guests.
Understated luxury
Enjoying extremely comfortable accommodation and a relaxed atmosphere of understated luxury, all residents receive the same level of personal service whether they stay with us for a single night or several years.
Home grown food
St George’s Hotel has its own small allotment where we grow fresh organic produce for our home cooked meals. Harvested as the sun rises each morning, our chefs are passionate about quality ingredients!
