St George’s Residential Care Home was recently visited by a Professor from Exeter University who hosted a fascinating ‘talk and taste’ lecture on climate change and the Himalayas…
Bringing the unique landscape of the Himalayas to life, our residents watched a short film, listened to an inspiring talk and discussed photographs with the lecturer. We were transported to this immensely beautiful region while learning about the social, economic and environmental challenges caused by rising temperatures.
As part of the talk, we were also treated to freshly-prepared, traditional Nepalese food, courtesy of St George’s talented chef. It was a wonderful event, and enjoyed by all.
